What grades do you serve?
We serve students in Kindergarten through 6th grade in a small, structured learning environment.
What is your academic approach?
Our academic program builds strong foundations in reading, writing, mathematics, science, and social studies through structured instruction, hands-on learning, meaningful discussion, and real-world experiences. Small class sizes allow teachers to provide individualized support while helping students develop confidence, curiosity, critical-thinking skills, and a lifelong love of learning.
Is your program play-based or academically focused?
Our program is academically focused while incorporating hands-on learning, movement, exploration, and interactive experiences that keep students engaged and excited about learning.
What is your student-to-teacher ratio?
We maintain small class sizes with no more than 12 students per group, allowing for personalized attention and support.
How do you handle discipline and behavioral issues?
We employ positive reinforcement and restorative practices to guide behavior, focusing on teaching children appropriate social skills and conflict resolution.
Do students need to bring lunch?
Yes, students bring a packed lunch each day.
Do you accept the Utah Fits All Scholarship?
Yes, we accept students who plan to apply for the Utah Fits All Scholarship. However, families should be prepared to enroll regardless of scholarship status.
Is this a homeschool program or a private school?
Mustard Seed Academy operates as a hybrid microschool-style program, offering astructured, small-group learning environment.
